\nWe remove the oil cooler and pull the case out from below.<\/p>\n

\nThe battery fluid was completely empty. No wonder it wouldn’t start.<\/p>\n

\nThese days Shorai batteries come in various sizes, which is great.<\/p>\n

\nWe keep various terminal covers in stock\u2014straight and angled.<\/p>\n

\nBased on the layout, we went with the angled version. Since the battery is lighter, we secured it with a band to keep it from moving around.<\/p>\n

\nBefore starting, it had already climbed to around 13.8 volts.<\/p>\n

\nSwitching to a paper gasket stopped the cover leak, and I’m oddly pleased about that.<\/p>\n
