\nIt’s been a while since we’ve used the enamel pot\u2014let’s disassemble the caliper.<\/p>\n

\nApart from some rusty bolts, the condition wasn’t bad at all.<\/p>\n

\nAs expected from an anodized aluminum caliper\u2014no corrosion whatsoever. There’s quite a difference in condition between raw and anodized.<\/p>\n

\nWith the steam cleaner, washing is quick and dirt comes off easily.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ll replace the piston with an aluminum one. Always inspect the seals.<\/p>\n

\nThe bolts get an MDN treatment\u2014they look champagne gold and beautiful.<\/p>\n

\nWe apply rust preventative to the surface and we’re done.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s like it came back to life. The caliper bolts are OEM parts too.<\/p>\n

\nThe hose outlet won’t come out… We finally got it off, but the outlet will need to be replaced.<\/p>\n

\nThe color shows signs of deterioration.<\/p>\n

\nFive minutes and it’s clean as a whistle.<\/p>\n
