\nI thought it over from various angles and decided to make the heel guard bigger.<\/p>\n

\nI want to stand the ribs up, but there are few places where I can secure it, so the shape is a bit unusual.
\nSince it’s only fixed on the bottom, the heel guard flexes when you press your heel against it. There happened to be a rear suspension reservoir there, so I decided to co-tighten it with that band.<\/p>\n

\nI think it’s strong enough that it won’t bend even if you kick it. Press your heel against it firmly.<\/p>\n

\nIt felt like it needed to be this big to hold properly.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s hard to take a photo of yourself straddling the bike.<\/p>\n

\nThe pedal bearings are shot, so I’ll replace them for you.<\/p>\n

\nNow let’s move on to the main harness. I’m very happy that it’s still available as an OEM part. If you’ve decided to keep the bike for the long haul, it’s worth replacing once. The peace of mind is completely different.<\/p>\n

\nThe switch covering is all cracked and peeling. It’s sad to leave it like this\u2026<\/p>\n

\nI gave it a bit of a foreign-car look with mesh and 41 wrap to repair it.<\/p>\n

\nI’m not too particular about the original layout. The coil arrangement has also changed, so we’ll proceed with a different layout. It looks pretty clean.<\/p>\n

\nI think the main ground makes a big difference. The ground going to the harness is just one black connector. Since this single connector handles everything, it’s important.<\/p>\n

\nNobody asked me to, but I went ahead anyway\u2026 The standard GSX-R1100 harness doesn’t support TPS. I’m not sure if we’ll use it, but we should replace it with a new one just in case.
\nI’ll use the GSF1200\/Bandit 1200 early model, which has a similar ignition timing.<\/p>\n
