\nLicense plate light cover. Since it’s a plastic part, there’s a compatibility issue with the main body. We’ll give it a gentle push from the back.<\/p>\n

\nWe’re going to proceed in a way that doesn’t require too much work.<\/p>\n

\nFirst, we welded a round rod and a punched circular plate together.<\/p>\n

\nThen we punched out the sponge with a gasket punch.<\/p>\n

\nWe attached it and apply physical soft pressure.<\/p>\n

\nThat cleaned things up nicely.<\/p>\n

\nFor the brake lever, the owner wanted the left and right to match, so we painted it black.<\/p>\n

\nWe cut, punched, and bent stainless steel sheet, then welded on fastener mounts.<\/p>\n

\nWe also threaded the engine-side bolt and made a simple vibration-damping bracket.<\/p>\n

\nNow the fairing won’t vibrate, which is great.<\/p>\n

We finished the test ride and the work is complete. It’s nimble and accelerates well.
\nThat VM carburetor still has plenty of life in it\u2014I was impressed.<\/p>\n
