\nToday we’re preparing for a brake master cylinder replacement.<\/p>\n

\nBut first, since the caliper is brand new, there’s one extra step.
\nWe remove the piston, apply metal rubber, and reassemble\u2014this speeds up the break-in.<\/p>\n

\nWe’re replacing the master cylinder with our favorite Brembo semi-radial master.
\nI thought the semi-radial might clear it, but I was wrong. The usual meter bracket interferes.<\/p>\n

\nFirst, we cut away the light bracket.
\nNext, we do the same on the meter side.<\/p>\n

\nWe fabricate new steel pieces where we removed material, then fit and weld them along the pipe.<\/p>\n

\nWe didn’t make the welds too deep.<\/p>\n

\nEven though we stripped the surface, the material seemed off\u2014it sputtered and took extra time.
\nIt looks a bit rough, and I apologize for that.<\/p>\n

\nAt first glance, it looks stock.<\/p>\n

\nIt works fine whether you’re braking or accelerating, so no worries.<\/p>\n

It was a bit easier than a standard radial, actually.<\/p>\n

\nThe ETC antenna was loose, so we made a bracket for it.<\/p>\n
