\nWe had a lot of visitors today, probably because of the nice weather. I spent the gaps between jobs tinkering on this project.<\/p>\n

\nI found some rib stock, so I cut it at 45 degrees and got it ready for welding.<\/p>\n

\nSince I won’t know how it’ll work until I try it, I drilled holes randomly.<\/p>\n

\nI bent the handle 180 degrees.<\/p>\n

\nI plan to punch out a round plate with a 100 mm diameter punch and use it as a handle.
\nI haven’t tested whether it’ll work, but I have nearly 50 dies ranging up to about 200 mm, so I can do all sorts of things.<\/p>\n

\nAs usual, I applied a hole press (barelling) to it.<\/p>\n

\nThis rubber stopper fits into the bottom case and can be turned. And if you swap out the rubber stopper, it works with different diameters too.<\/p>\n

\nNow you can spin it around.<\/p>\n

\nThe bottom case is held in place by pins that go in from both sides. I designed it with a physical lock shape.<\/p>\n

\nYou have to lift it to remove it. That’s reassuring.<\/p>\n

\nYou can clamp the handle in a vise,<\/p>\n

\nor hold it from the front,<\/p>\n

\nor hold it directly,<\/p>\n

\nor even stick a spray gun in it,<\/p>\n

\nand you can hang it up for storage.<\/p>\n

Finally, we can escape that wobbly situation.<\/p>\n
