\nThe rear caliper looks pretty rough, but surprisingly the pistons are only corroded on the outside.
\nThe operation seems fine. I’d like to replace the disc too, but other expenses are piling up, so let’s just replace the pads.<\/p>\n

\nAfter washing and coating it with long-term rust preventative oil, it covers things up pretty well. The nipple is rusted, so I wonder if it’ll loosen…<\/p>\n

\nI’ll use the usual flanged hex bolts for the caliper bolts.<\/p>\n

\nMoving to the front wheel… no runout, looks good.<\/p>\n

\nNormally we don’t remove it because the seal can warp, but this time I had to check to be safe…
\nLooks good, so I’m relieved. Plus a light oiling.<\/p>\n

\nClean the inside and apply a light oil, and it’ll move smoothly.<\/p>\n

\nThe inner tube is badly rusted, so we’ll use it until it starts leaking. I’ll smooth it out a bit.<\/p>\n

\nThe inverted fork has a fixed inner tube, so the same spot wears out. The right side has lost its plating and the base metal is showing through. It’s almost at the limit.<\/p>\n
