\nWe’re installing a Plasma Booster <\/a> on the CB1100 SC65.
\nTo be honest, the modern air-cooled four-cylinder fuel injection is already perfected. Honda’s smooth feel is excellent. I honestly thought there would be little change, but\u2026<\/p>\n

\nAfter deliberating, there’s nowhere to install it. That’s the reality with modern air-cooled four-cylinders. With ABS on board, there’s really nowhere at all. For now, I’ll just stash it in the storage compartment.<\/p>\n

\nSince we can’t test the effect without being able to turn it on and off with a connector, it’s essential to mount the connector somewhere easy to access.<\/p>\n

\nThe wiring is now complete.
\nWe confirmed the Plasma Booster on\/off in the shop, but honestly, even when revving it, I can’t tell any difference. Naturally, at idle there’s no change in feel either.
\nI thought, “Yeah, I figured. Honda’s already perfected it,” so before the rain came, I took it around the neighborhood with it on.<\/p>\n

To be honest, the feel was just “kind of slightly smoother?” After putting in some decent distance, I decided to test it with it off.<\/p>\n

“It feels kind of rough and uncomfortable,” and “the throttle response feels slightly sluggish.” It felt like “the engine was heat-soaked,” so to speak.
\nThinking it might be placebo, I turned it back on and tested again\u2014”it’s smooth and refined” with “a satisfying, clean throttle rise.”<\/p>\n

It works even on modern bikes. Naturally, it would be even more effective on older machines.
\nOf course, it should be highly effective on oil-cooled engines too.<\/p>\n

When installing, I think it’s better to measure with an oscilloscope and confirm the tuning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
