\nThis isn’t Honda, so we relocated the horn underneath the tank.
\nClean and tidy. Next, switching to a multi-reflector would make it even better.<\/p>\n

\nWe’re replacing the issue points from last time. I can’t recommend the direct-plug Suzuki coil cord.
\nParts need to be designed so they won’t come loose even if handled roughly during maintenance\u2014that’s a safety issue. Just being installed and functional isn’t enough; it’s only a temporary fix.<\/p>\n

\nWe’re replacing the coil assembly too. It’s good practice to clean up the surrounding parts.
\nMark the coil as you remove it so you can tell them apart later\u2014it’ll be handy in the future.<\/p>\n

\nMark the cord too. Clip-type connectors can come loose, and I can’t recommend them. Think about what happens if the head cover comes off\u2014it could fall out. With a direct carb setup, there’s even a chance the funnel could suck it in.<\/p>\n

\nIt was so dirty that I couldn’t help myself and polished it. Even though it’s someone else’s bike, it makes me happy to see it come out clean.<\/p>\n

\nThe intake manifold area is corroded too. Since we don’t know what will happen to the rubber parts going forward, this is definitely a spot we want to replace when we disassemble the carb.<\/p>\n

\nCleaning up the surface feels good. There are some marks on the head where something was cut\u2014I wonder what that’s about?<\/p>\n

\nWe fabricated the brake hose with SUS fittings. It’s a bit dark, so it’s hard to see.<\/p>\n
