\nChain cleaning makes a huge difference in how smoothly your bike rolls. Some people slather on chain oil, but you should always wipe it off and apply just the right amount. Proper lubrication is key.<\/p>\n

\nThe hub damper is still in good shape. The wheel bearing condition looks solid too.<\/p>\n

\nCaliper piston operation has a big impact on how smoothly the bike rolls. Poor return action causes dragging and makes the bike feel heavy.<\/p>\n

\nThe inside of an inverted fork gets dirty easily and rusts readily. Lubrication and cleaning are essential. Neglecting this leads to expensive repairs down the road.<\/p>\n

\nThe wheel bearing condition is good. A light application of oil around the oil seal lip will help keep the bike rolling smoothly.<\/p>\n

\nPiston operation is fine. There was quite a bit of dust buildup though.<\/p>\n

\nWipe down the disc rotor now and then. Removing dust improves rolling smoothness. After that, make sure to bed in the pads properly.<\/p>\n

\nThe lever area has good lubrication. It’s basically floating, but some units get stiff when tightened. Using a lock nut to keep play minimal while maintaining smooth operation is important.<\/p>\n

\nClean the throttle too. Cable wear happens where it bends sharply, especially near the throttle holder where friction causes fraying. We cleaned the throttle interior and applied one or two drops of engine oil to the handlebar to create a protective film.<\/p>\n

\nReplace the grease around the pedal area too. It’s solidly built and operates smoothly. I wish the shaft were a bit thicker though.<\/p>\n

\nThe side stand is touched every time you mount and dismount. Rough operation becomes a real pain.<\/p>\n

\nIdeally, change the fluid once a year.<\/p>\n

\nCorrosion was progressing, so we polished the muffler bracket.<\/p>\n

\nWe’re heading into hot season. Coolant cycles between ambient temperature and nearly 100 degrees, generating sediment and impurities. Since there’s no filter, deposits can accumulate in certain areas if you don’t change it. We replaced the coolant for you.<\/p>\n

\nWe changed it before, but the condition was rough, so we replaced it again.<\/p>\n

\nWe switched to NTK (NGK makes plugs). There are caps that raise pressure, but they put extra stress on components, so sticking with OEM-spec values is better.<\/p>\n
