\nThe steering is knocking, so let’s adjust it and watch how it goes for now.<\/p>\n

\nLift the dust seal, blow out the inside, and lubricate it\u2014doing this really extends the life of both the seal and the inner race. Cleaning and lubrication are the most important things.<\/p>\n

\nThe wheel bearings are still fine.<\/p>\n

\nLoosen the fender and reduce the twisting. The thinner the axle, the less stress it bears\u2014that really makes a difference.<\/p>\n

\nThis Tokico caliper has been maintained and operates smoothly.<\/p>\n

\nWhen I washed it, I found marks where the piston had seized, but there’s no problem with operation.<\/p>\n

\nLet’s clean both front and rear discs with brake cleaner.<\/p>\n

\nThe rear operates just as smoothly. There were seizing marks here too, but for now it’s fine.<\/p>\n

\nThis is a well-kept bike. Someone cleaned it carefully down to the details.<\/p>\n

\nThe hub damper and wheel bearings are fine as they are.<\/p>\n

\nThere was oil around the levers too. Clean it and tighten without worrying about the action, or the movement will get stiff. We always use new lock nuts.<\/p>\n

\nClean the throttle and reassemble it. Since this part moves constantly, making it as smooth as possible reduces fatigue. Even when applying lubricant, just use a thin coat of engine oil. Grease gets heavy and clumpy, so skip it.<\/p>\n

Here’s the brake pedal. There’s oil on it, so it was clearly maintained well before. With oil present, friction slows wear, so you can keep things in good shape longer.<\/p>\n

The shift side had oil too.<\/p>\n

The sidestand, though\u2014it was dry. Without oil, wear progresses quickly.<\/p>\n

The air filter is clean too. I cleaned out the box.<\/p>\n

Let’s sync the carburetors. They’re pretty far off.<\/p>\n

I’ve adjusted them. If the ignition system gave a bit more punch right off idle, it’d be easier to ride.<\/p>\n

Overall, this is a well-maintained bike.<\/p>\n
