\nLet’s install the Yoshimura Step KIT.

\nWe’ll cut it roughly. I’m an air saw person\u2014I really hate grinders because they’re so dusty.<\/p>\n

\nAre you using masking tape? We’ll tape it up nicely.<\/p>\n

\nI won’t use a belt sander either. There’s a handy tool that works like shaving\u2014it cuts smoothly and cleanly.<\/p>\n

\nThe customer wants direct mounting instead of the Yoshimura Step KIT’s clamp attachment.
\nYeah, that makes sense. That clamp really isn’t great. For a bolt-on kit, it requires cutting and has some awkward design choices.
\nWe’ll keep it as simple, light, and strong as possible with this shape. Fabrication and welding aren’t our main business\u2014you’ll get a cleaner, sharper finish if you have a custom shop do it.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s fixed it.<\/p>\n

\nNow the muffler won’t fit, so we’ll fabricate a muffler bracket.<\/p>\n

\nThis is actually version 1, and while there’s hardly any difference, we’re now on version 2. The master forgot that the master cylinder mounts on the back of the bracket\u2026<\/p>\n

\nWe’ll remove the rear master rod and clean it up while we’re at it.<\/p>\n

\nThe fluid hose layout is outside the frame. It doesn’t look great, so we’ll do a little modification.<\/p>\n

\nI really wanted to route it to the side, but we can’t remove any more material, so this is the limit.
\nBut it looks much cleaner now.
\nWe’ll also need to make an adapter for the fluid hose, and there are lots of small details beyond what I’m writing about here.<\/p>\n
