\nThe hugely popular K-FACTORY clutch piston. By increasing the diameter and changing the ratio, it becomes a bit lighter. Combined with the master cylinder, the effect is even better. It doesn’t get so stiff that you can’t operate it, so you can handle it with confidence.<\/p>\n

\nWe had to shave the cover side a little. Installation completed successfully.<\/p>\n

\nIf you grip the lever at the end, the stroke increases but it’s lighter. The switch would contact, so I milled out a clearance. Then I made the lever a bit straighter, which makes it lighter and closer, improving the feel and operation.<\/p>\n

\nNow we install the backstep. There are lots of adjustments\u2014it’s nice but also a bit of a headache. I just go with my own preference and set it.<\/p>\n

\nQuite a few people don’t get the spherical bearing seated properly when they install it themselves. You have to be careful.<\/p>\n

\nI don’t really trust this kind of detail on the backstep, so I use longer bolts and install a cotter pin. I basically hate thread-locking compound, so I prefer a physical method that can’t come loose.
\nBending it slightly makes it easier to remove.<\/p>\n

\nI don’t like hydraulic brake switches, so I went with the stock mechanical type.<\/p>\n

\nThere happened to be a hole right there, so it went smoothly.<\/p>\n

\nI didn’t like the master cylinder being visible, so I made a heel guard out of stainless steel.
\nSince it’s a low-profile design, the heel doesn’t contact it either\u2014looks great.
\nSwitch work, bar filing, and cotter pin installation\u2014the stuff I basically do as a matter of course\u2014are all included as service.<\/p>\n
