\nI could restrict the steering angle, but there’s not much clearance left before the handlebar lock.
\nWhen I lift the meter, it contacts the screen. Moving the cowl is out of the question\u2026
\nThe key points are:
\n\u2022 Minimize modifications \u2022 Be able to return to stock \u2022 Preserve handlebar lock \u2022 Need freedom in lever positioning. High-performance parts are only worth it if they can be mounted in a usable position; otherwise stock is better. Unless it’s purely for looks\u2026<\/p>\n

\nThe meter bracket has three mounting points; the front right one was contacting, so I cut and relocated it.<\/p>\n

\nEven so, it still contacted the meter panel, so I cut the plate and bypassed it with a round rod.<\/p>\n

\nThat solved it. Now the left side was hitting, so I cleared that too.<\/p>\n

\nThe ETC antenna had nowhere to go, so I relocated that as well.<\/p>\n

\nThe sponge doesn’t cut cleanly, so I left it as is and locked it down\u2014no problem squeezing the brake and clutch.<\/p>\n

\nThe handlebar lock is fine too. I’ve done a little secret work on it.
\nIt would be tough to lose the handlebar lock just from swapping the master.
