\nMy camera has been acting up lately and won’t cooperate at all. The condition looks good, so I’ll clean and lubricate everything before reassembly.<\/p>\n

\nBearings and sleeves would feel nicer if they were brand new, but after checking and evaluating them, if they’re still usable there’s no problem keeping them as is.<\/p>\n

\nThis is a really well-maintained bike, and the inside is clean too.<\/p>\n

\nI’d like to replace just the chain slider. Rubber and resin parts are scary\u2014you never know when they’ll stop working.<\/p>\n

\nStarting around this era, swingarm mounting and adjustment improved dramatically.
\nWhile it won’t move dramatically differently, disassembling and lubricating it prevents rust and extends the life of the bearings.
\nWhen you remove the rear, it’s best to replace the bolts and lock nuts. I’ve heard stories of people replacing the bearings but not the bolts and lock nuts, only to have them come loose later. Let’s put safety first.<\/p>\n
