\nLet’s continue with the Deco-mainte.<\/p>\n

\nThere’s still some oil residue around the lever, but it’s gotten old and turned viscous.
\nLet’s rinse it out, clean it thoroughly, and apply fresh oil.<\/p>\n

\nThere’s no severe wear. With proper oiling, it should stay in good condition for a long time.<\/p>\n

\nYou don’t need to apply a lot. Make sure to wipe away any excess.<\/p>\n

\nThe throttle area is clean too. I think it’s fine to leave it without oil or just apply a thin coat.<\/p>\n

\nA light application like you’d use on skin is plenty. More is never better.<\/p>\n

\nI haven’t seen another Yamaha come through, so I can’t compare, but this is an unusual stand design. Most use a U-shaped clamp, but this one is just held with a stepped bolt and nut.<\/p>\n

\nThe lubricant had also turned viscous.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s aluminum and extremely light.<\/p>\n

\nThe left and right pedals have good oil residue and are in great condition.<\/p>\n

\nYamaha has such cool designs on these small parts. And they’re aluminum. I wonder if the chamfer has a radius, but it looks like it could be made from a round bar.<\/p>\n

\nThe rear has an unusual single-sided needle roller wheel. No adjustment needed, which is nice.<\/p>\n

\nThe hub damper is still usable.<\/p>\n

\nThe rear caliper is clean too. When cleaning a sliding caliper, it’s better to remove the pins and boots. Water can get inside and cause rust.<\/p>\n

\nWe replaced all the fluid. The tank is pretty dry, so we’ll get to that soon.<\/p>\n

\nThe air filter was clean too, but we cleaned it anyway.<\/p>\n

\nIt was clean except for one moth that had gotten inside.<\/p>\n
