\nLet’s install a clutch master that’s lightweight, cuts cleanly, and offers excellent operability.<\/p>\n

\nThe dedicated switch arrived, so I’ll install it. The plate is a bit rough in construction.
\nGiven the price point, the switch wiring line passes above the mounting hole and has quite a wild feel to it.<\/p>\n

\nThe switch mounting method felt a bit rough, but “necessary and sufficient”\u2014this approach seems workable.<\/p>\n

\nFor the tank, I chose the H2 OEM unit, which excels at fluid management in terms of capacity and cleanliness.<\/p>\n

\nWith this master on a naked bike with mirrors installed, what should I do about the tank stay?
\nFrom experience, co-tightening with mirrors as much as possible yields very poor results. I’d like to mount it from the master clamp, but the upper side is hinged, so that’s not possible.
\nI recalled the switch I made previously for the Lockheed radial master and fabricated one.<\/p>\n

\nLast time, the release side was changed to a K-FACTORY large-diameter piston. Since it’s another manufacturer’s product, I won’t mention the piston diameter specifics. The 1\u03c6 on the master side naturally has a much larger effect. My guess is that regulations exist because seals and other components end up with round-number dimensions. However, the release side seems to have some room to spare.<\/p>\n

Just this lower release side alone delivers more than sufficient effect. It’s noticeable compared to stock, but roughly 10\u201320% lighter\u2014a highly recommendable part.<\/p>\n

\nTo match the larger release, I’ll also increase the master diameter.
\n\u2022 Standard release & 16\u03c6 clutch master\u2014not a recommended combination.
\nThe push side diameter becomes too small, resulting in “can’t cut fully” \u2192 “lever is far away to increase stroke.”
\n\u2022 Standard release & 19\u03c6 clutch master cuts well, but the feel becomes heavier than stock. Of course, both are radial masters, so operability is excellent.<\/p>\n

I didn’t measure this time, but it would be perfect to remove the clutch cover and measure how much stroke occurs before and after the change (how much the clutch disengages).
\n\u2022 In any case, it cuts lightly and sharply. Like a Goose 350 or so? (It just happened to be in front of me.)
\n\u2022 Since it cuts cleanly right at hand, there’s no need to move the lever far away.
\n\u2022 Radial-like feel. Instead of the stock half-clutch’s awkward on\/off, you get dial-like control where you can modulate strength up and down\u2014a high-degree-of-freedom feel.
\nAppearance improves, operability improves. I thought, why didn’t I install this kit sooner? I believe this is a kit that smooths out the few control elements, allowing you to focus solely on riding.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
