\nThe engine started up for the first time in a while. However, there are some functional issues.<\/p>\n

\nI didn’t want to install three STACK setting switches, so I used the switch from a Skywave 650 and left everything in the ON position\u2014that part went as planned.<\/p>\n

\nI also moved the starter to the left, so it looks clean\u2026 I initially thought we might not need a kill switch.
\nAnd actually, there’s no key either. I ended up installing an M-LOCK contactless key system, so every time I turn it off I have to pull the key out of my pocket and shine it to cut the engine\u2014the hassle is making me regret it now\u2026 I’m reconsidering it.<\/p>\n

\nI had already sourced a MOSFET regulator for this job, so let’s get to it\u2026<\/p>\n

\nPreviously I had mounted the regulator at the bottom where there’s good airflow. I thought it would be a simple swap, but the wiring connector is so large that it ends up too close to the muffler collector\u2014that’s not going to work\u2026
\nNow I have to find a different mounting location.<\/p>\n

\nNext\u2026 the ETC indicator lamp is oddly large, so I ended up wiring it and recessing it. (left end)
\nIt lights up green when a card is inserted and stays dark without one. Lots of surprises at this stage.<\/p>\n
