\nThese modern sport bikes are always a challenge for me. The serviceability is poor\u2014or rather, there are so many wires that I’m amazed at how the manufacturer managed to design and lay everything out.<\/p>\n

\nSince this one is used only on the track, the owner wants to install a quick-throttle. But what an awkward location for it to be in\u2026
\nThanks to the tool I made before for hooking the muffler, I was able to swap it out without removing the fairing.<\/p>\n

\nThe throttle has a design that’s hard to call good or bad. It just sits in the fairing and is held down by a plate.
\nIt has some play and moves smoothly, but I can’t help wondering: if it crashes and the cable spins around and gets stuck that way, what happens then? I found myself thinking about the downsides.<\/p>\n
