\nWe’re fabricating a muffler stand using Suzuki rib stock.<\/p>\n

\nWe made a collar cut at an angle and polished it.<\/p>\n

\nThis is a used torque rod from a GSXR series. I wonder if this material is sleeping somewhere. We’re polishing it before welding to remove the anodize.<\/p>\n

\nGetting a tight fit and proper alignment makes the finish look much better.<\/p>\n

\nWe bent it to fit the shape with a soft touch, did the final polish, and we’re done!<\/p>\n

\nIt’s a bit sad that the rib stock is rough.<\/p>\n

\nWe broke the edges with a 4R radius. Adding radius makes it feel softer and looks nice.<\/p>\n

\nA 54mm diameter tail pipe looks thin visually. Maybe I’ll make it 60.5mm diameter with a prawn bend.
