\nBoth levers feel good. Rather than applying oil from the outside, the basic approach is to remove them, clean them, and then apply oil.<\/p>\n

\nThe pedal area is the same. Don’t wait for a crash to replace parts\u2014clean and oil them during maintenance. Smooth mounting and dismounting makes a real difference in how good it feels.<\/p>\n

\nIf you don’t reduce play and apply oil, the frame side will wear. Smooth mounting and dismounting at these essential points really improves the riding experience.<\/p>\n

\nCustom bikes need careful inspection. The pad contact area has excess material around the edge.
\nIf it’s going to be used as-is, we should trim it back.
\nI thought it was an aluminum piston, but it was covered in pad grease. I’ve never had occasion to apply pad grease myself, but too much will scatter and attract dirt, so be careful.<\/p>\n

\nThe front wheel bearing area was unusually loose and the distance collar was also loose, so I attempted an adjustment.
