\nLet’s disassemble the carburetor. The image shows it after polishing, so it’s finished in excellent condition.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s in such good condition that you can feel confident about it.<\/p>\n

\nThe vacuum carburetor has few parts, which is excellent.<\/p>\n

\nI get the impression it’s been corroded quite a bit.<\/p>\n

\nYou can see that the slide valve body is showing some wear.

\nThe float fixing O-ring has also deteriorated and is loose.

\nThe O-ring below the slide body has also hardened and is in unfortunate condition.<\/p>\n

\nIt comes together in no time, but it actually takes more effort than expected. I’d really like to use new bolts. It’s worth the extra care.
\nEven after an OH, I occasionally see crushed bolt heads or rusted parts being reused. It’s a shame because just a little more effort would result in a much cleaner finish.<\/p>\n

\nThe throttle cable is already discontinued, so we adapted one from another model. This gives us peace of mind.<\/p>\n
