\nThere’s some light wear and discoloration from metal contact.<\/p>\n

\nJust under 100,000 kilometers on the odometer. The inner dimensions of the bottom case are a real concern.
\nWe’ve seen cases with older bikes that had no inner tube metal\u2014the deep section of the bottom case wore down, causing steering play and other symptoms.<\/p>\n

\nThe owner wanted to install a fork guard, but there’s no need to go to the trouble of cutting a groove\u2014though we’d rather skip cable ties.
\nI wrapped it with some 3M slip-resistant tape (aluminum-backed) that I had on hand.<\/p>\n

\nAfter degreasing and adhering, it was just a matter of sliding it into place\u2014perfect. It’s snug enough to feel secure.<\/p>\n
