\nWe’re replacing the engine damper. For its age, it was holding up pretty well, but rubber components do harden over time, as expected.<\/p>\n

\nThere was no rattling, but it did feel a bit loose. It’s a spot that gets a lot of heat, so there’s not much we can do about it.<\/p>\n

\nThe alternator gear has no play, so we’re in good shape there.<\/p>\n

\nThe connectors showed no corrosion or melting. The condition is surprisingly good.<\/p>\n

\nWe corrected the #2 exhaust bolt threads. It was only about two threads at the front\u2014we didn’t even need to install a helicoil, which is great.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s open, worn, dirty, and loose. Since this is a spot you use every time you get on and off the bike, it’s worth paying attention to.<\/p>\n
