\nThese tolerances are necessary too, and if you make things too tight, the fork left-right and stem shaft configuration can become difficult. You have to get along with a little play.

With oil-cooled bikes and such, we disassemble many of the same models, but it’s strange\u2014some bikes come together beautifully while others only work perfectly in very specific ways. I’m always thinking about the reasons behind these mechanical phenomena.<\/p>\n
