\nThere’s no parts kit available for this, which is a problem. I like BST carburetors, but honestly I think it’s a tricky design.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>As the miles add up, wear under the block can cause all sorts of mysterious symptoms. Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen.<\/p>\n

\nAll four carbs had rust.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ll disassemble and clean all four. We won’t remove the butterfly unless it’s really necessary. The mounting bolts are peened, so removing them will cause some damage to the mating surface, so we need to be careful.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s a sleeve-type connector with two-stage ribs used in the fuel line connections. It’s cracked, but it’s not going to give up at this point.<\/p>\n

The carbs are in relatively good shape, so we can proceed with confidence.<\/p>\n
