\n<\/a> The generator connector had melted, so I replaced and repaired it. Using the same connector shape will definitely be better going forward.
\nThe insulation was completely hardened. I stripped and replaced the insulation on the pickup as well.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a> The main harness ground looked a bit questionable too, so I repaired it.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a> I made it so it’s independent with the same connector shape. I think this gives better peace of mind.<\/p>\n

\nRefreshing things, I looked at the grommets and damper area… hmm. The MN uses bolt fastening, the KL uses adhesive. I thought that was thoughtful design, but it turned out otherwise.<\/p>\n

\nI welded the hole shut.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a> Cut new threads and now it’s secure. I was worried it might not go in all the way, but it worked out fine.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a> The battery hold-down plate was missing its tabs, so I added them. It’s a small piece, so it’s a bit bulky.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a> The battery was somehow smaller than expected and was being shimmed up with bubble wrap, so I made a U-shaped plate and welded it in place to raise it up removably.<\/p>\n
