\nThe inspection was completed quite a while ago, and I apologize for the delay in the follow-up.<\/p>\n

\nThe ZRX is a model with impressive longevity. Between the 1100, 1200, and Daeg, we’re looking at nearly 20 years or so.<\/p>\n

\nThe brake hose should be stretched out so it doesn’t become overly tight. Too long isn’t good either.<\/p>\n

And I think the best part is having a layout that makes it easy to remove and attach the caliper, so cleaning can be done smoothly.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>It’s even better if it doesn’t interfere with the front stand. It’s good to decide the layout while also considering that you’ll be doing maintenance on the front area.<\/p>\n

\nThinking ahead about whether the handlebar might be replaced later, I went with a T-fitting so that if needed, only the top line would need to be remade. Since it’s not related to stroke, you can be a bit more lenient with the fit.<\/p>\n

I often see people just buying off-the-shelf hoses of a fixed length and installing them, but surprisingly they often end up being too long or having an unattractive layout, requiring replacement.
\nOff-the-shelf brake hoses come in fixed lengths, but without laying out the actual hose, the diameter and stiffness can make things not work as imagined, so it’s hard to predict.<\/p>\n

\nThe brought-in parts had many mysteries\u2014I wondered what millimeter disc it was for, and the caliper was so wide it looked like a workbench. As it is, the piston will stick out excessively, which is bad.<\/p>\n

Using the pad right down to the limit creates a lot of drawbacks for both the caliper and the disc.<\/p>\n

\nI carefully fabricated pad shims.<\/p>\n

\nThe feel wasn’t right, so I thought something was off, and sure enough\u2014it was leaking badly.<\/p>\n

\nI had to check it out.<\/p>\n

\nI’m not sure if I can get this seal. It would be tough if it’s discontinued. I’m holding off for now.<\/p>\n
