\nLet’s perform oil-cooled maintenance.<\/p>\n

\nThe various dampers still had good tension and the overall condition wasn’t too bad.<\/p>\n

\nThere were some areas where slight scuffing had developed. This must have happened as wear marks settled in after the overhaul. Of course we adjusted the tappets, and we also pushed the cam chain out about three notches.<\/p>\n

The chain stretches and wear marks develop on the slider side, but since the tensioner spring tension isn’t very strong, it’s surprisingly difficult to tension it properly\u2014that’s the blind spot with automatic tensioners.<\/p>\n

\nThe terminals were quite loose, so please tighten them up properly. We polished and reassembled them.<\/p>\n

\nSince vacuum can’t be drawn, we’ll keep this bike running as is with its raw character.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>Going back and forth, the connector was starting to melt.<\/p>\n
