\nThe hardest thing on a bearing is grease starvation. The factory bearings don’t have inner seals, so I think they tend to lose grease easily and oxidize quickly.<\/p>\n

\nSpinning it in this condition is extremely stiff, and it takes time for the bearing to seat properly. Since the collar and seal wear down and the fit changes, we pre-seat the bearing first.<\/p>\n

\nThe front uses a non-standard bearing, so we use the factory part. Since it has a single-side seal, we remove and clean a used one, then install it as a double-side sealed bearing.<\/p>\n
