\nIt’s held together with quite a few cable ties. The more you use it and the more you see them, the more disappointed you feel.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s a rare pattern, but if it gets damaged, we can cut out the filter section, use the base, and fabricate a new filter.<\/p>\n

\nThe air filter cover is cracked and appears to be held together with instant adhesive.<\/p>\n

\nThis method\u2014dissolving with acetone and then heat-pressing\u2014gives it flexibility closer to the base material and is quite effective. The material is thin, so please forgive the appearance.<\/p>\n

\nThe side stand boss sprouting from the muffler\u2014it’s an innovative design and I’m impressed by how smoothly it operates.<\/p>\n

\nThe spark plugs look pretty fouled. Given the condition when it arrived, this might be about right.<\/p>\n

\nAfter adjustment. It’s a two-stroke-style carburettor, so the tuning is delicate.<\/p>\n

\nEach carburettor has its own cable, so you need to match the inner cable length on both.
\nIf they’re misaligned, one side opens slower, and at full throttle it might not open completely. These subtle differences really matter.<\/p>\n
