\nWe’ve overhauled the brake calipers and clutch release. We’ve also installed new brake and clutch hoses.<\/p>\n

\nThe brake-side tank is mounted simply and cleanly. It’s nice to position the tank so the lever placement won’t be affected if you move it around.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>The clutch tank is also clean and low-mounted.<\/p>\n

\nThe choke lever has an interesting design where it’s co-fastened directly to the STD master body. For now, we’ve handled it with a simple stopper to prevent snagging.
\nThe co-fastening isn’t ideal, but we’ll have to let that slide.<\/p>\n

\nPositioning the oil cooler higher and angling it to catch as much airflow as possible is the best way to keep it cool.
\nIf you loosen the bottom slightly and remove the top fastener, you should be able to tilt it for valve adjustment access.<\/p>\n

\nWe only had this material in stock, so the mesh is a bit coarse. The cooler body itself is fixed without modification.
\nSUS 304 perforated metal and our usual metal-lined trim. We don’t like using adhesive or double-sided tape to secure trim.<\/p>\n

\nWhether the oil cooler hose is soft or stiff, it’s better to protect it. Exposed hard mesh is like having sandpaper on it\u2014there’s a high risk of damaging something.
\nSoft hose also needs protection to prevent it from rubbing against something and wearing through, and it’s a safeguard in case it ever contacts something sharp.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ve mounted the regulator just barely outside the fairing. On modern bikes, external mounting is standard and necessary.
\nSome bikes even mount it where the air cleaner’s ram air intake hits it.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s always getting hot like this. We’ve cut and rerouted it.<\/p>\n

\nWe weren’t happy with the digital gauge position, so we relocated it ourselves. We’ve also made the monitor angle adjustable. Keeping the meter area clean and minimal looks good.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ve done an oil change.<\/p>\n

\nSince the cooler is empty, remove the spark plug and crank the engine to confirm good oil pressure before starting it up.<\/p>\n
