\nYou can really feel the era in how the ground is done. Back then, there were even cases of shared ground wires. You never see that anymore these days.<\/p>\n

\nLightly sand it with a file, pre-tin the lamp side, then solder it on with a quick touch\u2014done! I’ve made sure the wire colors match.<\/p>\n

\nTimes change. That’s what I think. I believe the best approach is wiring that can be completely disconnected and reconnected without any marking or thought\u2014so it only goes together one way.
\nI can’t really recommend situations where the colors don’t match, connectors have the same shape causing misconnections, or the body has to be cut to remove something, and so on.<\/p>\n

Marking Giboshi connectors with a marker or paper tape is fine if it’s just for personal use, but honestly, it’s not a state I’d want to touch.<\/p>\n
