\nWhile I was at it, I made a bracket for the digital tachometer too.<\/p>\n

\nI wanted to weld at the center of the stem nut, but it was already nicely plated, so I crimped a POP nut (steel) instead.
\nThe bracket tilts forward slightly, which might improve visibility a bit.<\/p>\n

\nI don’t have velcro on hand, so this is a temporary fix for now. It looks nicer when the wiring is as hidden as possible.<\/p>\n

\nPan head bolts have a smaller hex width, which is a slight concern when you want solid clamping in critical spots.
\nThe original machined stem’s variable stopper could be repositioned a bit to gain outer diameter and sink the head deeper\u2014that might look better.<\/p>\n

\nI think I ordered 10.9, but these look like 12.9?
\nI learned that plating 12.9 is a no-no, but nickel plating looks so clean that I actually like it.<\/p>\n

Since it’s supposed to rain tomorrow, I took it for a test ride and topped off the fuel. Sorry for the wait! It’s almost done.<\/p>\n
