Well, hello everyone! This is the Bike Garage Newsletter, which I love!

Today I’m introducing the Ethos Easy Stand Helper R 78000, a favorite item I introduced quite a while back.
I actually own two of them, but I have to use one during inspection time.
Because of that, I have to lower the bike from the lift, which is always a hassle.

I wanted to manage things efficiently without adding too much stuff,
but with inspection appointments coming up fairly often, I figured it would be more efficient to just buy another one!

Let me tell you right off the bat! The reverse function on this product is excellent! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Most wheel chocks don’t have a reverse function, you know.
When you lock in a large motorcycle, getting it out of the chock is really a pain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A BMW Telelever? If you use a chock on that, it’s a real nightmare.
I honestly don’t think human strength could get it out.
I once fixed a BMW Telelever with a regular chock
and couldn’t get it off the truck.

Anyway, this one is so much easier to remove from the chock that I’ve been using it for ages.
When choosing a chock, pick one with a reverse lever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Ethos, this is not a wheel chock! It’s an auxiliary tool. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is designed to assist when lifting the rear stand, not as a wheel chock. <\/a><\/strong>

It’s an auxiliary tool for easily lifting the rear stand.
I use it as a regular wheel chock and haven’t had any issues.
*Please use at your own risk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s even more amazing about this product is
you can raise the front stand while the wheel chock is still on. <\/span><\/strong>
*This only works with the short-leg version.
*J-TRIP front stands with the wheel on the inside are tricky. The older model works fine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The short version feels a bit uncertain, but with an extension bar it locks in solid.
The body and legs are fixed with pipe butt-weld joints, so you need to be a little careful there.

I wouldn’t recommend pushing it side to side hard or sitting on it.
*I use it pretty hard and haven’t had any problems, but please use at your own risk. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fits 16\u201318 inch tires. <\/span><\/strong>Three-stage adjustment.
With narrow tires like 100, it feels a bit uncertain. It will self-support on 19 inch too.
In that case, always use the rear stand as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plating is extremely beautiful! Use it indoors only. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When used indoors, the plating stays shiny and beautiful.
When I was running it on the truck, I left it outside all the time.

Sure enough, it rusted badly, so it’s best not to use it outdoors if you can help it.
If you do use it outside, a painted one will be more durable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe I’m overstating it a bit, but you can work much more smoothly.
When removing the bike from the chock, you want to minimize stress on the frame.

It’s really convenient, so please consider it for your storage setup! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
