\nIt’s already been three years since the Great East Japan Earthquake. I found myself thinking back to what I was doing three years ago at that time.

\nI remember that during the earthquake three<\/a> years ago, we were working as usual at our previous shop location.
\nWhen I rushed outside the shop with the violent shaking, all the cars that should have been driving on Route 7 had stopped, and the traffic signals, utility poles, apartment buildings, and the ground itself were undulating and swaying greatly.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>Perhaps thanks to the ground conditions, and fortunately we didn’t keep things on high shelves, the shop suffered no damage whatsoever.
\nNext I was concerned about my home. I headed back on my nearby scooter while the aftershocks continued violently.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>At home, fortunately I only found that some dishes and cups had broken. The moment I turned on the TV to watch the news, I remember being struck by images that seemed unreal, coming in live in real time.

\nIn Meguro Ward, the water and sewage systems had no particular problems, which was truly fortunate.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>But soon gasoline became unobtainable in the neighborhood, and convenience stores and supermarkets had almost no food on their shelves.
