\n<\/a>The other day we did rear maintenance and such. This time the customer asked us to handle oil-cooled maintenance.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>The generator damper had already hardened completely. When this wears out, the engine gets pretty loud, so you notice it right away.
\nIn this condition, I think the effect will be dramatic.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>The engine damper is also worn and quite hard.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>There’s little benefit to installing the early model, and we can improve serviceability and use shorter mount bolts with the later model, which doesn’t need a nut, so we’ll swap to that.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>We’ll remove the front hanger, clean it, and install it in a way that doesn’t put strain on the assembly.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>We’ll slice it thin with a metal saw.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>We corrected it with a hydraulic press. Even correcting both takes less than five minutes. I think it’s better in many ways going forward when the areas we service look nice.
