\n<\/a>Before heading home, I picked up the “Nikon 8mm f\/2.8 Fisheye-NIKKOR”<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>It’s a really fun fisheye lens with a world view that can’t help but distort.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>When you mount the Nikon 8mm f\/2.8 Fisheye-NIKKOR, the D800 is barely visible from the front because the lens has such a large diameter<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>On full-frame it vignettes like crazy. That’s what makes it fun\u2605 Since it’s f\/2.8, it might be good for shooting the night sky too.
\nA Canon “EF8-15mm F4L Fisheye USM<\/a> Nikon-modified” would be perfect if it could stop down, but Canon’s version has an electronic aperture with that function disabled, so it’s stuck at f\/4, which is a shame.<\/p>\n

After using it, this Nikon 8mm is just too big and too heavy. But it sure looks cool~<\/p>\n
