Continuing from converting the handlebar to metric and the switches to metric, which means domesticating it.
\nHow is the difference in turn signal ON\/OFF method being controlled?
\nI only have wiring diagrams for old Sportsters, so they’re not much help\u2026
\nAfter poking around, it looks like the turn signal module is controlling it. (See manual) ’91
\nGood thing it’s not mechanical \u2605
\nTo switch to a domestic push-cancel, there are two steps:
\n\u2022 CUT the signal coming from the module
\n\u2022 Install a turn signal relay

Embed the turn signal relay inside the handlebar switch wiring.
\nIt’s a bit pricey, but the Motogadget M-FLASH is the best layout-wise.

The Sportster really has so little space, it’s a real problem.

Finally found it\u2026 the module. It was inside the fender right in front of the rear tire.

\nBlinking OK! Push-cancel OK! Hehe
\nOr so I thought\u2026
\nHuh? There’s a position function? On the Sportster\u2026
\nSo I took it apart again and fiddled around some more until everything was complete.
\nChecking and double-checking and triple-checking took time.
\nThe first time is rough.
\nThe ETC wiring is also done, and it’s almost finished.
