{"id":67068,"date":"2013-10-05T19:25:14","date_gmt":"2013-10-05T10:25:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/en\/?p=67068"},"modified":"2026-09-24T13:43:49","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T04:43:49","slug":"eye-fi-and-pqi-air-card","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/en\/20131005\/blogs\/camera\/eye-fi-and-pqi-air-card","title":{"rendered":"Eye-Fi and PQI Air Card"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Send images and video from SD cards over Wi-Fi!<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been curious about this for a while now.<br \/>\nI figured the transfer speed would be slow anyway.<br \/>\nSo I hadn&#8217;t bought one until now.<br \/>\nThe other day, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100M2 already had Wi-Fi<br \/>\nbuilt in, so I had them transfer images to a device and got a feel for it. <br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/imp\/492577_9913652_0.jpg\" \/><br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>Eye-Fi can send to a configured device and a PHOTO site in the cloud.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s possible!<br \/>\nAnd it&#8217;s not selective image transfer either\u2014<br \/>\nit automatically transfers everything, so if you leave the power on, it uploads on its own.<br \/>\nYou never have to eject the SD card.<br \/>\nFor someone like me who ejects the SD card multiple times a day,<br \/>\nit&#8217;s a really great item.<br \/>\nThat said, transfer does take a few minutes, so it&#8217;s perfect for people who don&#8217;t mind leaving it alone.<br \/>\nI did a quick test setup and it had transferred to my PC and Picasa.<br \/>\nPretty good!<br \/>\nOf course, the Sony NEX-7 and Nikon D800 work too. <br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/imp\/492577_9913652_1.jpg\" \/><br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>I heard rumors that the PQI Air is the one for serious RAW data, so I ended up buying it, but&#8230; hmm.<br \/>\nMaybe the PQI Air is for the real enthusiasts?<br \/>\nThis one didn&#8217;t recognize the Nikon D800, though.<br \/>\nThese kinds of SD cards are pretty pricey.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Send images and video from SD cards over Wi-Fi!
