So we have a fork oil change request.
\n“How often should fork oil be changed?”
\n\u2192Well, it depends on mileage, time elapsed, and how the bike is used, so there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.
\nWe want to avoid having to do the work twice, so please keep that in mind.
\nIf you just change the fork oil \u2192 ride a bit and then the fork starts leaking! \u2192 it feels like a waste of money on that first fork oil change.
\nFork overhaul \u2192 fork oil change is the lower-risk approach.
\nBefore changing the fork oil, we apply some oil to check, then cycle it through full stroke, but if something unexpected happens! we need to be careful.

It’s not too dirty actually\u2014the fork precision and metal seating look good.

Since we’re waiting anyway, this time we’ll do a complimentary stem disassembly and lubrication.
\nOnce you pull the fork, you want to remove the stem too.
