\nLet me get a little work done\u2026 I’ll just ignore the people here

Well\u2014I finally put a digital counter on the milling machine!
\nJust kidding \u2605 It’s a kitchen timer.
\nSo what am I doing?

Temporary mounting \u2605
\nWith the Watanabe universal bracket, it’s too close to the engine and visible from the side, plus I wanted the cable a bit longer
 
\n
 
It moved up quite a bit & the cable line looks natural now \u2605
 
\n
 
Watanabe takes way more time than I expected\u2026
\nPlus the layout and everything changes each time\u2014is that like a version upgrade?
\nAside from making the bracket\u2026 the process is
\n1) Widen the spark plug gap and attach the NGK cable terminal to the plug.
\n2) Temporarily mount the coil and determine the cable layout.
\nAs short as possible and as gentle a curve as possible looks natural.
\n3) For attaching the cable and coil,
\ninstead of following the manual’s “expose the core, fold it, and insert” method,
\nwe crimp the terminal onto the cable and insert it.
\nThe benefit is that you can tell “it’s seated all the way in,”
\nand “if it does come out, recovery is quick.”
\nThe standard mounting method works fine, but this is insurance \u2605
\n4) Oil-cooled models have a spark plug cover, so we reuse it.
\nSince the cap’s outer diameter is different, we use a gasket punch on the spark plug cover
\nto enlarge the hole.
\nNow the coil can finally be fixed \u2605
\nNext is mounting the main unit~
\nMost of my brilliant ideas get rejected
