\nIt’s been a hassle for ages\u2014I was just using temporary cable ties\u2014but today I finally

folded it back and welded it, so it can be made shorter or longer\u2014a real gem \u2605
\nThis way next year will be easier

Earthquake proofing \u2605
\nAs long as the brake is on, you’re pretty much safe.
 
\n
 
\nToday I welded about 30 of them \u2605 100% success rate
\nIt’s my own method, but\u2026 tips for welding band cord?
\nDon’t use a lighter or anything like that
\n\u2022 Use a hot tool like a soldering iron to heat both sides of the band cord
\n\u2022 Heat \u2192 just enough until the surface starts to melt; no need to overheat
\n\u2022 Pressing \u2192 for the first 10 seconds, you can move it slightly so both sides center up\u2014that’s OK
\n\u2022 Once centered \u2192 press lightly for 1.5 to 2 minutes
\n(Hard to say exactly, but stronger is OK)
\nOnce the time is up, no amount of pulling will break it \u2605
\nYou can trim off the excess “ooze”\u2014just for reference
