Well, well
\nThe parts arrived!

The magnet was so strong it was a real pain to get the cover off
 
\n
 
It’s actually pretty clean! \u2605
\nOr so I thought, but sure enough, carbon buildup has appeared.
 
\n
 
I bought one for this very reason, but I still only have that beat-up pencil tester
\nSo every now and then…
\nThe new one shows resistance that stays rock solid
\nbut the old one spiked way up in one spot and then dropped, totally unstable.
\nI peeled off the gasket and swapped out the regulator\/rectifier too
\nput the cover back on, replaced the O-rings on the oil filler and drain…
\nand the tappet cap-style drain cracked. So I had to stop.
\nIt cracks every so often, so after a few times it becomes a replacement part.

Next up, front and rear pads… but I can’t get the rear caliper off at all.

What’s going on here? \u2605

The parking brake action is sluggish, so I ended up checking the piston
 
\n
 
and the bolts too
 
\n
 
and that was it.
