{"id":71034,"date":"2012-06-04T20:48:09","date_gmt":"2012-06-04T11:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/en\/?p=71034"},"modified":"2026-09-24T13:43:23","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T04:43:23","slug":"in-between-chapter-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/en\/20120604\/everyday-events\/in-between-chapter-2","title":{"rendered":"The &#8220;In Between&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well,<br \/>\nfor some reason we&#8217;ve been getting a lot of CR carburetors lately.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m finally starting to get the hang of how they work.<br \/>\nTo be honest, I&#8217;m still pretty uncomfortable with them. <br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/imp\/674393_63312194_0.jpg\" \/><br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>The fixed jet block from below and<br \/>\nthe needle jet and primary choke really make you think.<br \/>\nThe thinness of the fixed boss on the jet block\u2014<br \/>\nand then the needle jet pressing down on it from above.<br \/>\nYou don&#8217;t tighten it that much,<br \/>\nbut when you see corrosion and breakage like we had the other day, you start to worry whether there are cracks in the block.<br \/>\nAnd the block sits inside the throttle valve,<br \/>\nso I don&#8217;t think there&#8217;s that much contact,<br \/>\nbut I&#8217;d like to tighten it where it seats well. <br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/imp\/674393_63312194_1.jpg\" \/><br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>The FCR is set up so the body bottoms out, which is reassuring. <br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/imp\/674393_63312194_2.jpg\" \/><br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>This jet needle cap is the \u2605<br \/>\nIf it loosens, the needle rattles up and down\u2014some play is necessary,<br \/>\nbut I wonder if there&#8217;s a way to make it work better? <br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.decoboco.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/imp\/674393_63312194_3.jpg\" \/><br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>Tightening this valve plate is also something I&#8217;m not great at.<br \/>\nIt really makes you feel the age of the carburetor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, for some reason we&#8217;ve been getting a lot of CR carburetors lately.
