I own an MP3 player called the Toshiba Gigabeat.
\nI can’t add or delete data.
\nWith communication issues and a dead battery, I’ve been using it plugged in.
\nI’ve used it for quite a while now and it’s about at its limit\u2014maybe I should go back to Apple.
\nBut I figured I’d at least try replacing the battery.
\nSo I contacted Toshiba about it \u2605
\nThey said they’d look into it

A shipping company arranged by Toshiba came to pick it up, and “shipping was of course free.”
\nAbout a week after sending it, they called today.
\n1) The battery is no good, so we can replace it \u2605
\n2) We couldn’t confirm the communication issue on our end,
\nso you should be able to use it as is.
\n\u2191
\n“We’re not sure, but we probably did some secret magic to it.”
\nThat’s what they said \u2605
\nFor the battery replacement, it’ll be “1050 yen.”
\nOf course shipping is free, and they’ll include a payment slip,
\nso please pay “the amount minus the transfer fee.”
\nHow wonderful! This kind of support is really appreciated.
\nLet me sum it up…
\n1) The warranty period is incredibly long
\n2) They didn’t ask for a warranty certificate
\n3) Free shipping both ways
\n4) Free transfer fee
\n5) Pay after receiving the item
\nOf course!! I gave them plenty of praise.
