So the other day I took the GSF in for a flat-rate motorcycle inspection.

Here we go! Working hard from the morning!

First up is New Tech (bamboo) grease \u2605
\nThe oil was pretty dark again
 
\n
 
We did front maintenance two years ago \u2605
\nDouble-checking \u2605 Nice and generous application… I really think New Tech grease is the good stuff.

I’ve tried all kinds of greases, but this is what I’ve settled on \u2605
\nThe frame gets pretty hot, so if it leaks out from the stem area it gets messy
\nThat’s why if you use a harder grease, the steering feels kind of sticky
\nAnd yet it still drips anyway
\nThe upper and lower races were VERY GOOD! so I’ll clean them and use them again.

Cream grease on both top and bottom \u2605
\nHoping it stays in good shape for a long time! Squish squish

The fork oil wasn’t very dirty either!
