Now that the steering is done
\nwe’re moving on to the front fork \u2605
\nThere’s actually an additional OH item in front maintenance, but\u2026

\nRear maintenance is turning out to be more involved than I thought and I’m still considering it, but I’m getting through the daily work
\nand I’m just barely keeping up with each day.

The inner tube is in good shape too \u2605 With inverted forks, the plating suddenly gets thin in some spots, so check the front upper side of the fork

I’d really like to replace the wheel bearings around 20,000 to 30,000 kilometers
\nIt’s important that they spin smoothly when you spin them with your finger, but when you insert the shaft and check for play, there’s often quite a bit of play (not play in the shaft itself, mind you)
\nIt’s the same when you’re riding, but a well-maintained bike is incredibly easy to push or pull \u2605
\nEven a completely stock bike makes you go “wow.”
