This year we’ve brought in
\na headlight tester and a CO & HC tester \u2605
\nThe headlight tester works really well and is lighter than expected, so moving it around is pretty easy \u2605
\nChecking the light axis is super simple, no problem at all

\nThe light intensity measurement is giving us some weird numbers, so I’m a bit worried\u2026
\nThe other day the inspector told me, “The V-Max and DR400 fail pretty often\u2026”
\nThe DR is really the worst\u2014you pretty much have to do a direct battery connection to make it pass.
\nSo\u2026
\nWhen I checked this V-Max with the tester, 5000 candela? No way.
\nBy eye it should be 18900 candela\u2026
\nI’ll head out tomorrow with the inspection gear anyway.
\nThe CO\/HC tester is pricey, but digital is definitely the way to go \u2605
\nIt takes only 5 minutes to measure compared to about 30 minutes with an analog one.
\nStarting now, the Flat-Rate Motorcycle Inspection will also include light axis adjustment, light intensity check, CO\/HC measurement, and exhaust noise measurement.
