After grabbing a bite to eat,
\nI’m heading to the University of Tokyo\u2026 It’s the Marunouchi Line, Hongo 3-chome station.

Here’s my favorite spot, the University Museum.
\nThis exhibition is “Himalaya Hot Spot\u2014Fifty Years of the University of Tokyo’s Himalayan Plant Survey”

The University of Tokyo has been researching plant diversity in the Himalayan region since 1960,
\nand over these fifty years, they’re displaying some of the 400,000 pressed plant specimens that have formed the foundation of Himalayan plant research.
\nUsually most of the exhibitions here (excluding permanent displays) allow photography, but not this time.

There was old footage playing, and it was just\u2026 intense.
\nThey climb up to elevations of 23,000 feet, collect specimens, prepare them to some degree, and then descend.
